Wisconsin Editor, Writer, and Proofreader

I’m a nature loving, world-exploring, unabashed foodie whose favorite time of the day is spent with my dog, Reilly, a great cup of coffee, and a good book. Did I forget to mention I love children’s books?

Writing Teacher

Before I became an editor and writer, I began a two-decade career in education getting middle- and high-school students excited about the beauty of language, written expression, and the role of story in our lives and ended my time helping college students gain the skills to confidently express themselves through writing.

Children's Book Editor and Proofreader

Now I work with children’s book authors and publishers, combining my love of children’s books and a well-crafted story with my desire to help writers shine. Why? I’m crazy about children’s books.

I’m a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and illustrators (SCBWI) Wisconsin chapter since 2012 and the editor of the SCBWI-WI newsletter since 2018.

I’m also a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA), the oldest professional national organization for freelance editors, proofreaders, researchers, writers, and others focused on the world of writing and publishing.

As a member of Wisconsin State Reading Association (WSRA), I spent fifteen years on the Children’s Literature Committee, reviewing the newest children’s picture books, middle grade, and YA fiction and non-fiction and presenting at their yearly conference.

And in case you missed it, I’m passionate about children’s books.
